Australian Banknote Serial Checker

Enter the details printed on your Australian banknote. The checker looks for collectable serial-number patterns and, where Klazzik reference data is available, identifies the issue, reference number, signatures, first or last prefix and star replacement notes.

Check your banknote

Enter your banknote prefix and serial number to identify the issue, reference number, special prefix status and collectable serial patterns.

You can type A40, A/40, AC00, H/A00, HA00, a single letter such as J, or an early prefix/suffix pair such as A-A. The checker normalises common formats automatically.
For a star/replacement note, include the asterisk at the end exactly as printed on the note, for example 12345*.
Important: a prefix can occasionally sit on a boundary between two recognised issues, or be shared by visually different sub-types. The checker reports those possibilities and tells the collector what feature must be checked rather than pretending the prefix alone proves the answer.
